I'm a husband and new father who teaches fourth and fifth grade. I love hanging with my family and working with kids. They're hilarious, and they teach me oh-so-much. I'm also an artist who switches mediums regularly, but it's usually 2D stuff or computer related. Right now it's a pseudo-autobiographical comic strip printed in a couple of local papers in the East Bay (that doesn't mean it's funny though… I make no promises).

I am quite unenlightened (what buddha puts “I” messages in their profile? What buddha doesn't?!? If you see the buddha, kill him!) but am quite looking forward to the day when I'm not looking forward to the day, but rather… am the day.

I love music- listening to it, playing it poorly, or making the amateur, funky house or hip hop beats. I also like mountain biking, soccer, flying kites, and reading.

Finally, I am just what my title says: a fallible student of kindness, but I am also that idiot being kept “waiting in the garden” strengthening and restrengthening my resolve so that the teacher will accept me as a student. Like that Peter Tosh song says: “I got to pick myself up. Dust myself off. Start all over again.”

Story of my life. But I'm getting less dusty every time.
